Hank Aaron State Trail

The payoff is the lakefront

Initially, the Hank Aaron Trail ran slightly downhill through older neighborhoods on the outskirts of town, past single family post-war homes visible through the copse. Information technology was a tree-lined, unmarried car-lane sized physical trail, meaning in that location was room for two bikes across, but non three. We were warned by another biker non to miss a sharp left turn ahead, which we plant (following him) as we neared the very cool American Family Insurance Stadium.
Continuing towards the waterfront, the trail became a wide sidewalk alongside a fairly quiet industrial avenue lined with unused railroad boxcars. Beyond them was an active railroad thou and tracks that nosotros crossed as the Milwaukee skyline came into view. Nearing downtown and the beginning of several waterways where small pleasure boats were moored, we passed the Harley Davidson Museum.
Signage got very spotty as the route became more complicated and we had to refer to TrailLink a couple of times after nosotros crossed over the downtown river. Nosotros ended up riding on the city streets and sidewalks of the Historic Third Ward area. At that signal, we abandoned trying to follow the trail (it concluded somewhere nearby) and headed toward a descending drawbridge over a culvert lined with sailboats.
While a large network of walking/biking paths crisscrossed the entire area, we rode close to the rocky revetments and corrugated fe seawalls that kept the Lake at bay. There appeared to be lots to see and do on the Lakefront: we passed an outdoor amphitheater, a minor red lighthouse, other performing venues, a building designed to look like a large ship's prow (Milwaukee Art Museum), Discovery World science and technology center, and more. The promenade eventually ended on a long, wide jetty, beyond which was McKinley Marina.
Nosotros found good beer and laurels-winning fried cheese curds at a brewery/restaurant northward of downtown.

Lake Country Recreation Trail

Disappointing & Bad Stretch near Nemahbin Lake

Was very excited to try this trail between Fish Hatchery (Delafield) and Oconomowoc downtown....simply was disappointed. And so much of the trail is betwixt power line poles and fairly uninteresting. The worst, all the same, was the stretch around Nemahbin Lake--where the trail literally disappears completely and yous are left navigating a narrow, heavily travelled road with no shoulders in some places! I can't believe this portion is still chosen the Lake Country trail--when there is no trail. I would not recommend this route for families with young children, given this dangerous stretch with cars whizzing by.

...loved the concept of this path and the power to savor downtown Delafield and downtown Oconomowoc, though. I but wish is was meliorate developed and a bit more interesting/rustic.

Kinnickinnic River Trail

Skilful Trail to Ride

I think the Kinnickinnic River Trail is a good riding trail. You can see lots of nature on the lower portion of the trail (south of Lincoln Ave). The upper portion runs along the railroad tracks which is separated by a chain link contend for safe reasons. Amtrak rolls by most every few hours. The day I rode it (Dominicus afternoon in early Oct), the trail wasn't very busy. Probably due to Lord's day afternoon football game games.

The merely bad part of the trail is that you take to ride the road for 0.7 miles to go to the lower portion. The skillful part about the route is that it isn't very busy and it does have bicycle lanes.

Wild Goose Country Trail

wild goose

Really really liked the trail, I'chiliad in town from Michigan for work and what an awesome style to spend the day. I've never road gravel earlier today and had a blast

Glacial Drumlin State Trail

best trail e'er

It'south right in our backyard and we accept been on every portion with e bikes. Beloved information technology all. See wild fauna every fourth dimension. Also hike in winter months

Sheboygan Interurban Trail

Trails & Roads

Picked up trail on Hwy G in Cedar Grove and took information technology to Kohler-Andre Park. Trails are nicely maintained, restrooms along the fashion. At Oostburg you are on country road the remainder of the way. Little to no traffic. Likewise, not very breathtaking. Kohler-Andre is great.

Glacial Drumlin State Trail

Lake Mills to Deerfield

Beautiful trail betwixt Lake Mills and Deerfield. Ice cream in Deerfield! No ruts - hard packed crushed limestone. I rode my route bike with out problem. Just wish they had water ice

Seven Waters Bike Trail

Prissy trail for a twenty-four hours ride

We started at the Congress St Trailhead in Burlington and rode northward to where the trail crosses Heg Park Rd. and turned around (needed to get back past lunchtime). The trail is primarily dirt, which was fine for our gravel tandem. While the trail crosses RT-36 (no signals, just a painted crosswalk), the traffic was light enough for united states to become by. The median is wide plenty to safely stop in if traffic is busy. The turn from the parking area at Saller Woods is a bit sandy and tin lead to wipe-outs. It actually needs to be wider and less sharply curved. The section of the trail from Due north Browns Lake Dr through Case Hawkeye Park out to Buck Rd (in Waterford) is paved and is a delight to ride on. North of Beck Dr (RT-20) it's back to dirt. Overall a prissy ride for the morning.

Beerline Trail

Expert Ride just brusque

I rode the entire trail. It was well maintained, labeled and fun to ride. At Capitol bulldoze you can all the same see remnants of when information technology used to exist a railroad m to store the rollingstock for the beer industry. There is a lot of actually overnice art piece of work along the trail and best of all, you tin can terminate the ride at Lakefront Brewery for a cold beer!!

My only gripe is that there are a couple of spots in which you have to ride the road for a cake or two because companies accept purchased the rights forth the original railroad corridor.

I'm really looking forward to the expansion going north.

Glacial Drumlin State Trail

Ok but non a lot of features

I started at the trail head in Cottage Grove. Paid my $5 and took off east. The path is mostly crushed lime stone and prissy riding. It has slight grades just no hills. The trail is by and large directly and flat which is why I say it lacks features. Yes I know it is a converted train tracks. Lots of farms and fields with flowers. (features?) Too tree lined. It goes by many small towns forth the manner but they looked deserted. Didn't see many people.
I think riding the IPP and Fox River trail is improve.
